Friday Finish: Ironing Station and Another Bag

I'm celebrating two finishes this week! First up is a portable ironing station for my sewing space and for taking to guild sew days. A demo for making a small ironing table from a TV tray was shared at a recent guild meeting.  The process was quick and simple. It took me longer to find my staple gun than it did to actually make the project.

Leftover quilt back and batting came in handy for this project.

I typically don't mind getting up from the sewing machine and walking to my big ironing board, in fact it's nice to get up and move about. Since the arrival of my longarm, however, the path from the sewing machine to the ironing board involves awkward maneuvering around the longarm.

Conveniently located now

The goal is this convenient setup will motive me to sew at my machine more. I had noticed that I would find excuses to work on my EPP rather than projects that require a sewing machine.

Great for pressing blocks along the way

My second finish is another wee braw bag. These have been great to make and gift. I may have a few more in the works....

I love this Carolyn Friedlander print and C+S tiger print combo.

So, did you finish any sewing projects this week? There's still the weekend!

Can I also point out that I blogged every day this week?! Hard to believe I used to blog five days a week, every week. Thanks for stopping by!

Happy stitching,
