Friday Finish: Baby Steps
This hardly qualifies as a finish, but I'll take it!
It took two attempts before December's MCM Bee block (a nine patch using reproductionish prints) for Mary was satisfactory. The first block only measured 15.25" instead of 15.5". My arm is no longer in a cast, but my wrist is still swollen, stiff and achy. I am finding that stitching and all that goes with it is more difficult than I had imagined. Sewing isn't that painful, but I can't say the same for rotary cutting and pressing.
In addition to sewing, I finished wrapping all my recent fabric purchases on comic book boards. It's a nice feeling have that project completed and the fabric no longer in piles on my cutting table (and ironing board and on the floor and on chairs....). All that down time meant too much free time to browse online fabric shops and their end of the year sales. I think I went a little overboard.
I succumbed to my Botanics and Liberty of London craving, added to my novelty print collection and couldn't resist this adorable Christmas fabric.
I am calling this a finish (it's all relative, right?!) and linking up with Amanda Jean's finish it up Friday. Happy Friday y'all!
Happy stitching and thanks for stopping by,
