Prepping for Crafty Tuesday

Tuesdays have become a favorite day of the week, especially when I can attend Crafty Tuesday with my friends. Spending a few hours chatting and creating with friends is like taking a mental health day. We all need those every now and then, don't you think?

My Happy Flower mini quilt is now basted. I am using Hobbs wool batting. This will be a first for me - using wool for batting AND quilting by hand. Most of the blocks were made at Crafty Tuesday, and I am looking forward to quilting this during Crafty Tuesday get togethers.

After taking a  Sue Spargo class at Red Thread Studio, I signed up for monthly arrivals of Sue's hand dyed wool bundles. I finally cut into them - making 1" circles. I placed them on a piece of hand dyed indigo where they are waiting to be stitched down and embellished. I am hoping the stitching will disguise the irregular circle shape.

I have my matching Sue Spargo wool thread and Creative Stitching book also ready to go to Crafty Tuesday. Yay!
