Quilty Celebrations

Saturday was WorldWide Quilting Day, and I celebrated by hanging out with my OrlandoMQG buddies - first at a Social Media Task Force meeting and later at our monthly Sew Day.

I bought a bundle of Alison Glass Chroma back in December with another Peace quilt in mind. The bright saturated colors against the chambray linen reminds me of the '70s and a worn jean jacket.

March also marks the start of our guild's 9th year! We had a birthday celebration at our meeting while renewing our dues and picking a member gift. I thought it would be fun to see the accumulation of OrlandoMQG swag I have accumulated over the years.

I dug through the archives and found pictures from our very first guild sew day in March 2009....where I was working on my very first Peace quilt (without a pattern) for a school auction! Here's the original blog post.

What about you? Did you do any sewing this weekend?!
